Role Overview
The Senior Quality System Engineer reports to the Head of Quality Assurance and has broad responsibility for building and monitoring a pragmatic and a solid Quality Management System (QMS) in order to comply with applicable aerospace requirements.
Implementing the QMS must provide Customers and Authorities confidence in Heart’s ability to meet all applicable requirements in a long term and to promote Quality and Safety for ES-30 Program.
This role presents a challenge and an exciting opportunity to develop, advance and influence the development of the QMS at Heart Aerospace. To achieve this, we value great self-discipline and teamwork.
Your key responsibilities would include but not limited to:
- Design a QMS adapted to Heart’s specific needs and in compliance with applicable requirements EN9100:16 and EASA regulation Part 21J and Part 21G
- Deploy the QMS within the Organization and support all Business Process Managers (BPM) in charge of implementing and monitoring their activities efficiently
- Monitor the QMS application with the Certification Body and participate to certification and follow-up audits
- Plan and perform periodic internal audits (Process and Regulatory)
- Attend Process Reviews and lead the Management Review with all internal stakeholders
- Adapt & Improve the QMS by sharing with all stakeholders some improvements axis
- Promote simplicity and a pragmatic Quality approach for the Organization
- Identify and implement the best practices, methods and associated tools (risk analysis, performance improvement, decision support, root cause analysis, problem resolution etc.) and ensure their good appropriation by operational teams
- Maintain certifications and approvals (AS9100, EASA Part21G/J)
Qualifications & Experience
- Graduate degree in Aerospace or Quality Management discipline, or equivalent experience
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Quality Management within an Aerospace company environment
- Direct experience within EN/AS9100D and/or EASA regulations (Part 21, Part 145)
- Direct experience with audit planning & execution (process, products and regulatory audits)
- A strong compliance and detail-oriented mindset
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills in English
- Eagerness to work with others
- Passion for electric aircrafts and Heart’s mission
The ideal candidate would have
- Experience working in an Aerospace start-up environment
- Experience working as focal point with Certification Bodies and Authorities (Civil Aviation)
- Proficiency in advanced auditing techniques
