Arbetsbeskrivning
Are you eager to work with R&D and cutting-edge technology in an innovative and flexible team, where your efforts are appreciated and you're empowered to grow? We’re now looking for a Senior R&D Engineer to join our Additive Manufacturing department at Sandvik Coromant in Västberga, Stockholm – someone who wants to make a mark in this new technology area of our business.
About the job
In this role, you play an instrumental role in developing new R&D processes for hard materials – mainly cemented carbides – as well as in implementing technology and establishing production routes. Your work includes both analytical and hands-on tasks. By combining knowledge in powder technology, material science and 3D-printing, you further develop and implement prototyping and volume production of both powder and printed parts. As we’re a relatively small team you sometimes need to engage in tasks outside of your main scope.
We work towards many different parts of the Sandvik Group, giving you the opportunity to work with the whole chain from powder to prototyping, production and customer contact – a great chance to build a strong network across our global organization.
About you
We’re looking for someone with a relevant technical degree and experience from a position similar to this one, where you’ve worked with materials science-based assessments and got hands-on experience from using equipment and optimizing process performance. It’s a plus with knowledge of production systems and procedures, material characterization and binder jet technology. As we act locally in a truly global organization, you need excellent written and verbal skills in English and Swedish, while knowledge in other languages is a plus.
We’re sincerely interested in your personality – characterized by your analytical and curious mind. You embrace new challenges, always trying to creatively find new solutions, and you’re a structured and confident problem-solver – persistent to reach your goals. As you interact with many functions in our organization, as well as our external partners, you have an excellent ability to communicate and build relations that leads you to successful collaborations and future development.
Our culture
Innovation is in our DNA and we’re proud to shape the future of manufacturing in close collaboration with our customers and partners. We offer extensive health benefits with 4000 SEK in health allowance, free gym, and ten times naprapathy or similar per year. We genuinely believe in an inclusive, equal, and open-minded culture, and we nurture our diversities to form a solid foundation for achieving remarkable results. Add fair and rewarding benefits, as well as many different career options both nationally and internationally. Are you intrigued?
