Senior R&D Professional

At Rock Tools, part of the Sandvik Mining and Rock Solutions business area, our Top Hammer (TH) R&D unit enhances the business by providing product development, research and technical support. We’re now looking for a curious and socially skilled Senior R&D Professional to strengthen our team in Sandviken.

Your mission
In this position, you engage in development projects in close collaboration with stakeholders at our production units to find solutions that fulfill our customers’ needs. You’re responsible for developing and creating new products and for caring of existing products within the Top Hammer product line – bringing your valuable knowledge and expertise into our different projects and activities.
Another part of your assignment is initiating and following up on method development projects with laboratory tests and simulations. By getting to know our customers and scanning the market, you follow trends and development in this field, and you support our production and marketing departments, as well as subsidiary and sales companies, in technical matters.
Your profile
We’re looking for someone with a strong background from managing product development, in addition to a master’s in engineering, preferably mechanical engineering. You have solid skills in using CAD, PDM and FEM as tools in your daily work. As we’re a global business, you need excellent communication skills in English, while knowledge of Swedish is a plus.
