FindOut Diagnostic AB moves the clinical lab home to the patient’s kitchen table, using lateral flow tests and an artificial intelligence (AI) powered smartphone app. With a drop of blood, our users will get access to more health data than ever before without leaving home. Join us and develop the diagnostic tests everyone will have at home soon.
While our first self-test with this novel technology awaits CE-marking by the authorities, we are seeking a Senior R&D Scientist to guide our team of developers working on new in vitro diagnostic self-tests. Our goal is to launch a stream of new biomarkers.
In this position, you will be responsible for managing and supervising the development and verification of lateral flow self-tests. You coordinate the lab work to ensure the success of our development process. You will be working closely with our AI developers. The role reports directly to the Head of Product Development.
We are looking for someone with a hands-on attitude, who takes high responsibility in planning, execution and decision making in diagnostics development.

Responsibilities:
Plan, design and execute experiments to test hypothesis for new biomarker feasibility in immunoassay tests
Plan product verification according to ISO 13485
Lead the R&D team in daily lab activities
Laboratory management
Analyse and interpret data, evaluate results, draw conclusions, and determine future experiments in day-to-day product development activities
Cooperate with Head of QA & RA to ensure compliance with national and regional laws and regulations and fulfil requirements of applicable and relevant ISO standards
Create procedures, protocols and reports according to ISO 13485
Drive continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications:
PhD degree in a biology, biotechnology, or similar field
Minimum 3 years of industrial experience in IVD development according to ISO 13485 (mandatory)
Experience in immunoassay development
Experience in lateral flow POC devices
Good knowledge in data analysis and Microsoft Office
Fluent in English, verbally and in writing
Ability to cooperate in a small group and share tasks
Ambition to lead, motivate and challenge the lab team
