Senior Research Engineer

Role Summary/Purpose:

We are looking for a Senior Research Engineer within the area of Process Development.

Essential Responsibilities:

The role is with the Particle Design section of the BioProcess Media department, BioProcess R&D. The section?s main activities are focused on the design of structured particles for chromatographic separation of biomolecules. This includes chemical design as well as process engineering design. The responsibility of process development is split between R&D and Manufacturing where R&D?s responsibility mainly is focused on evaluating new techniques.

Your role includes scouting for new techniques,identifying and leading suitable external collaborations, managing internal projects/activities, supervising personnel and having a close collaboration with manufacturing.

More specifically will your tasks include:

Scout for and evaluate new production methods for particle formation
Scout for and evaluate process analysis methods
Work with simulations of processes
Identify and lead external collaborations
Contribute in trouble shooting activities
Transfer of new techniques to manufacturing
To supervise, plan, execute and document project work to reach given objectives

Qualifications/Requirements:

MSc/PhD in Chemical Engineering or related fields
Experience from laboratory work, pilot scale work as well as large scale work
English and Swedish as working languages
EU work permit
