We are looking for a Senior research engineer in immunoassays to join the Research Application and Bioanalysis section in the Start-to-Finish department at R&D in Uppsala. The section is made up by 20 Scientists that are working with protein purification and bioanalysis/biophysics of different biomolecules, internally within the department and in projects with close collaborations with the customers.
What You'll Do:
As a Senior research engineer in Immunoassays you will be a member of a team performing and coordinating these bioanalytical activities within different projects in R&D.
The work is focused on conducting independent scientific analytical work using immunoassays in various projects with biomolecules such as antibodies, recombinant proteins, and novel entities. This includes being involved in method development and method transfer/training within R&D, maintaining instrumentation and infrastructure, creating standard operating procedures and interaction and support with QC.
We work with translational analysis of biomolecules with a need of deep understanding of proteins and it is important that the candidate, in addition to technical expertise, have a good understanding of protein science.
Who you are:
You have a Lic BMA or similar long experience working with Immunoassay, assay method development, method validation and immunochemistry.
You have worked extensively with assay setup in ELISA formats for bioanalysis preferably also using he Gyros system.
Additional experience of other methods used in bioanalysis such as, qPCR assays, Biacore and Microarrays is also advantageous.
The candidate should also have experience of assay development and method validation and preferably experience in working with protein characterization in downstream processing in an industrial environment.
Interaction and communication with colleagues in this role are key and you should enjoy working in a flexible environment and have demonstrated abilities to work in a collaborative and customer focused environment. Training collegaues is also a major task in this role.
Strong presentation and communications skills as well as advanced English and Swedish skills (oral and writing) are also required.
