What You'll Do
As a Senior Research Engineer you will, as part of R&D, contribute to the development of new products which are used in the manufacturing of leading biological drugs. Your tasks will include work all the way from idea generation, research and development work and finally transfer to production scale. You will also take active part in troubleshooting of existing Cytiva and customer processes. The Uppsala Cytiva site is a workplace for more than 1300 people including functions as R&D, manufacturing, marketing, quality control and QA. Cross-functional activities in collaboration with other units will represent an important part of work responsibilities.
More specifically will your tasks include:
Identify and evaluate new techniques
Identify and lead external collaborations
Be responsible for technology leadership in the assigned field
Contribute in troubleshooting activities
Supervise, plan, execute and document project work to reach given objectives.
Lead Product Care/Process Care activities
Document and report results both orally and written
Who you are
MSc or equal experience in chemical engineering or related fields
5 years experience of industrial development/R&D
Experience from laboratory work, pilot scale work as well as up and downscaling of chemical processes
Experience from project leading roles
Experience from techniques for particle synthesis methods, e.g. emulsification processes
Experience from supervising personnel
English and Swedish as working languages
Experience from emulsification/particle formation techniques and/or work with poly saccharides is beneficial
