Senior Research Engineer - temporary position 18 months

We are looking for a Senior Research Engineer to support the organisation around protein analysis, downstream processing and protein purification using chromatography and filtration techniques. The position will be directed towards application work related to market support, customer support, new product introductions and R-projects for a variety of target molecules.


Essential Responsibilities:
This role includes project and line activities that will support both tech intake, R-projects, new product introductions, market support and sales support.
As part of a team you will plan and deliver the team's commitments and when needed be activity responsible or project manager.
Perform laboratory investigations - on your own or as a team - through planning, execution and analysis of results.
Take part in technical evaluations, defining customer needs and verifying them.
Present, orally and in writing, results and conclusions from studies performed.

This is a temporary position for 18 months.

Candidates should note that this role will be in scope for the proposed transition of GE Biopharma to Danaher and will transfer to Danaher at close of this transaction.


Qualifications/Requirements:
MSc in Biochemistry, Biotechnology or related area or with significant relevant work experience or equivalent knowledge or experience.
Good knowledge about protein analysis, separation using chromatography and filtration including Unicorn programming in Biopharmaceutical process development and/or manufacturing.
Structured and organized team player with good interpersonal skills that can drive R-projects and activities independently.
Flexible and good track record to deliver according to deadlines and handling multiple activities/projects in parallel.
English as working languages with good communication skills (both written and spoken).



Desired Characteristics:
Experience using GE Healthcare products in manufacturing scale is a merit.
Good understanding of upstream and harvest process steps in Biopharmaceutical process development or manufacturing.
Knowledge about biological assays and experience in developing analysis methods.
Interest and knowledge around excel calculations and macros.
Swedish as working language
