What you’ll do
This role as Senior Research Engineer is at Research and Development within the newly formed department MSAT, Section Analytical Development at Cytiva Uppsala Site. As Senior Research Engineer you will take on an active part in development of new and existing Analytical methods and perform troubleshooting investigations at Bioprocess Media manufacturing. The role will furthermore support expansion of manufacturing operations to our new site in USA where you will support all functions with Analytical tools.
The role will to a high degree involve interactions with colleagues in Uppsala and other sites at various positions. In order to succeed you need good skills in communication. You will need to be able to travel to other sites than Uppsala.
What you’ll do
Perform investigations and troubleshooting activities
Initiate and perform Continuous improvement projects
Develop and implement new solutions based upon knowledge in the organization according to Quality System
Lead and perform analytical activities using methods and proven technologies in the field of Life Science manufacturing.

Who you are
Bachelor, MBA or Advanced degree from an accredited University or College in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Microbiology or applicable.
Minimum 2 years experience working in a Laboratory with development and validation of analytical methods.
Experience working with a change control-process for performing and documenting changes in a quality regulated environment.
Strong and accurate documentation skills.
Strong oral communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to lead initiatives to improve ways of working in Laboratory.
Ability to work in several activities simultaneously.
Effective problem identification and solving skills.
Proven analytical and organizational ability.
Proven work experience using software tools and workflows.
