Randstad has the exciting opportunity to offer a role as a Senior Research Scientist at Fluicell AB. Based in Mölndal (Sweden), Fluicell is a company that has commercialized a product portfolio for single-cell bioassays and bioprinting. In particular, the company’s bioprinting technology will enable researchers to build novel in vitro tissue models with high biological relevance. 

As a Senior Research Scientist, you will contribute to the development of Fluicell’s solutions to conquer new business areas in regenerative medicine. With your expertise in stem cell research, you will have an opportunity to influence the growth of Fluicell as an innovative company. In other words, you will have an important role to play within the company. 

Responsibilities
You will initiate, design, and implement scientific research and development strategies aimed at generating new applications within the area of regenerative medicine. The main goal will be to demonstrate that the company’s bioprinting technology can offer solutions to the key challenges, which cannot be resolved with current alternative techniques. 
Identify high-impact applications within specific areas of regenerative medicine, which will be developed utilizing Fluicell’s bioprinting technology.
Provide expertise for bridging R&D with partners and collaborators within specific areas. 
Provide subject matter expertise to the team members and assist in designing and conducting experiments, interpreting data and results, and recommending changes or additional experiments.
Make contributions to scientific publications and present findings at scientific conferences.


Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you have proven expertise and deep knowledge within the areas of stem cell research and/or regenerative medicine. 

The requirements are:
You have a PhD or a medical degree (M.D.) with proven expertise and deep knowledge within the areas of regenerative medicine or stem cell research in academia or industry. If you have a M.Sc. with several years of working experience in the fields then you can also be a suitable candidate. 
You have an ability to quickly immerse yourself in new scientific areas and drive projects forward independently.
It is a plus if you have experience of conducting clinical and preclinical studies. 
Excellent communication skills, including good presentation and writing skills. 
Fluent in spoken and written English is an essential requirement. 
Knowledge of Swedish is a plus.

You are adaptable to new situations and work tasks. To manage your work you are organized, independent and have leadership skills.
