Arbetsbeskrivning
Are you a collaborative, curious, and results-driven scientist looking to contribute to the success of projects at the cutting-edge of science? We are building a core team to develop and apply CRISPR-Cas9 and high-throughput transcriptomics technologies to collaborative research projects focused on new target and biological pathway discovery.
For further details around this 12-months consulting position you are welcome to contact Jenny Lundkvist at jenny.lundkvist@poolia.se.
Om tjänsten
You will be based in Gothenburg Sweden, working alongside our stem cell scientists, disease areas specialists and together with our NGS and PGE team. You will have the opportunity to work with cutting edge cellular models of disease. This includes culture and differentiation of induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) as a platform for developing disease relevant cellular models to validate target hypothesis.
The role is focused on laboratory-based activities. Your biggest impact will be through significant contributions to the practical delivery to projects in compliance with AstraZeneca corporate responsibility, policies and relevant safety standards.
It is essential to have good social and communication skills, be collaborative and a strong team player. Candidates should be able to work independently, take own initiatives and have a positive, goal oriented and problem-solving attitude.
Good organizational, data management and documentation skills are required, and you should be comfortable in presenting your results. English language is required, both spoken and in writing.

• Safe handling, production, and concentration of lentiviral reagents
• Extensive experience of mammalian cell culture
• Experience with transfection and transduction techniques to modulate gene expression in mammalian cell models e.g. CRISPR-Cas9, shRNA, etc
• Experience in phenotypic assay development in pooled (e.g. FACS) or arrayed (e.g. Incucyte, Luminex, HCI) settings.
Preferred:
• 2+ years post-doctoral experience
• Experience with functional genomics screens and HTS campaigns in mammalian cells
• Familiarity with complex cellular models including primary cell types, iPSCs, 3D spheroids/organoids
• Experience with multiplexing / barcoding approaches for scaling experimental throughput
• Experience with use of automation and handling large datasets including data QC, analysis, and generating relevant graphical representations
