RISE is today engaged in several applied digitalization projects and are now expanding. We are looking for researchers with extensive experience in software development. We have open positions in Västerås, Linköping, Hudiksvall or Sundsvall, Sweden.

About the position
In this role you will use your programming skills and algorithmic methods to apply and glue together the latest research findings in AI and IoT to enhance variety of processes in industry, startups, SME’s, public sector, and academia.

You will join a multidisciplinary team that works with an agile methodology. The team’s focus is to utilize data to develop innovative solutions to the customers’ business needs, in the areas of autonomous systems, cyber-physical systems and edge computing to name a few. Hence, Experience with C, C# and python is necessary, since the position calls for understanding of embedded programming as well as analyzing and visualizing the outcomes/results.

The overall responsibility of the team over life cycle of several applied digitalization projects, requires your active contribution in presenting the right strategic way forward along with development of PoCs, cutting-edge products and services. You also participate in the design of digitalization solutions which puts you in direct contact with key clients and stakeholders to define the business objectives and determine project goals.

Who are you?
The ideal candidate for this position has at least 7 years of experience with software development and applying digitalization techniques in various use-case scenarios, in academia or industry, as well as a passion for working on solving real world problems in various application domains. You are experienced with carrying out tasks as well as presenting the outcomes and findings. You have excellent communication skills in both Swedish and English, which promises your success in the team, both as team member and leading member, as well as interaction with customers. Having academic credits and project leading experience are merit.
