Are you interested in collaborating with industry and researchers in the crossing of cybersecurity and software engineering, including planning, prototyping, implementing, verifying, and improving of concepts, models, products and services in the digital society? Do you want to work with exciting and applied research projects to explore how such sharing and collaboration can improve the future of mobility? Then RISE Mobility and Systems has an exciting job for you!
We are looking for a senior researcher with a sincere interest in conducting empirical research in the areas of cybersecurity and software engineering for future mobility solutions, located in Stockholm or Gothenburg.
We are looking to expand our research activities in our existing industrial ecosystem, as well as widen it with new partners, and increase cooperation with universities and institutes that focus on digitalization, societal impact, and future mobility.
About us
Digital Innovation is a unit within Mobility and Systems with a mission to perform research and apply knowledge to address societal challenges using digital innovation as the unit of analysis. Our research aims to identify and explore possibilities and effects from digital technologies to guide how digitalization can create value for agencies, industries, and society, with a focus on but not limited to mobility and transportation. We are currently 12 researchers in the unit.
About the position
With this position, we aim to strengthen our capacity to explore how the use of cybersecurity and software engineering either from academic or professional background can enable the creation of new services and solutions for society. You will carry out projects with other team members and cooperate closely with industrial and academic partners. Your assignments will include both publicly funded research projects and direct assignments with private companies or publicly funded agencies. You will work in a passionate team with a lot of individual freedom.
Who are you?
We are looking for a person with an extensive research background in cybersecurity and software engineering. Your interest in cybersecurity is matched with a genuine understanding of the challenges of future mobility solutions. You have experience from applying for external research funding and participating in applied research involving corporate and public partners.
The following non-exhaustive list shows areas of expertise and abilities which are of particular interest for the position:
- Ph.D. in a relevant field of research. Deep knowledge in cybersecurity, software engineering, and/or artificial intelligence.
- Experience in working on research projects with private and public entities.
- Practical experience of applied research or system development from industry.
- Experience in securing funding for research projects.
- Experience in project management. Excellent communication skills.
- Demonstrated the ability to collaborate.
