SENIOR RF ENGINEER

Smarteq continues its growth journey and will strengthen its team with a Senior RF engineer.

You will work with antenna design and development, from pre-study, design, prototype builds, test and verification, to implementation in serial production. The role offers a great opportunity for personal development by participating in exciting and challenging projects together with technology leading customers and experienced staff, and also by participating in research programs. As Smarteq has customers globally and production partners in Asia, you will have international contacts and travel mainly in Europe and Asia.

Examples of tasks:

 Participate in development projects in close collaboration with customers and internal functionsRF simulationsPrototype buildsTest and verification of antenna performanceParticipate in production set-up, produce production specifications and ensure production capability, in close cooperation with production partnersMarket and new technology analysisStrategic work, such as participation in trade fairs, seminars, customer contacts and research projects within RF

As a person

You have a deep technical interest and a passion for problem solving. Furthermore, you like to work in a structured way, have good analytical skills and have experience in hands-on antenna prototype builds.

Background and experience

To succeed in the role, you have a university or master’s degree in engineering and at least 5 years of experience in both active and passive antenna design and antenna measurements.

You have experience from measurements in an anechoic chamber and experience from instruments such as network analyzer, spectrum analyzer and noise figure analyzer. You also have experience working with simulation tools. Smarteq is currently working with CST Microwave Studio. You are highly qualified in communicating in English and if you speak Swedish and Mandarin it is a merit. Additional languages ​​are also a merit.
