We are in search of a Senior Sales Manager to Lignin Industries AB in Knivsta. If you have proven experience from leading complex B2B sales this is the right opportunity for you!
Lignin Industries is a young, innovative and fast-growing company in the biotech sector. The company have patented a revolutionary technology transforming lignin, the most abundant unused biopolymer on earth, into a renewable and functional biomaterial replacing fossil-based plastics and aims to supply the plastic industry with a high performing material that will be converted into plastic bags, packaging materials, bottles, etcetera.
As a Senior Sales Manager, you will have a key role within the company and get a great chance to influence when you enter the company in a build-up phase. Since the company is in the phase of providing initial commercial volumes to the market and scale production, the role will initially focus on actively seek sales opportunities, taking the initial contact with potential customers and representing the commercial aspect in all sales meetings. Eventually, as the company expand, the role will be more focused to leading the sales force, setting strategies, processes, KPIs and follow-ups. You will be reporting to the CEO.
Responsibilities
The Senior Sales Manager prioritizes the short to mid-term (1-3 years) sales and has as the main priority to close contracts. Due to the rapid growth of Lignin Industries, the position has dynamic elements and the nature of the role is both strategic and operational.
In summary, your responsibilities include:
Sales – Find, attract and contract the most interesting customers in the market worldwide.
Customer relationships – Ongoing dialogue and contact with customers, primarily online but also physical customer visits internationally. Understand customer needs and define and present solutions.
Contract negotiations – Lead contract discussions.
Ledarship – Leading & coaching the sales force, building a sales team over time, setting sales strategies, processes, goals and KPI’s and follow up.
Networking – Build brand awareness through networking, participating in conferences etc.
Working hours
Full time. Daytime Monday – Friday. You will have the ability to work partially remote.
Qualifications
Strong leadership skills.
Proven experience from complex B2B sales.
Proficient level in English.
BSc/MSc in business administration or relevant field.
It is meritorious with:
Experience from sales in startups.
Experience in international sales.
Experience of legal documents.
Experience in the plastics/bioplastics industry.
Additional language skills (Spanish, German, French, Chinese).
You have a well-developed business acumen, excellent communication & people skills and are passionate about sustainability and environment. You have an analytical mind, a high level of structure and the ability to strategize and solve problems. We would also like to see that you have project management- and negotiation experience/skills.

The forest is a renewable resource. Lignin is a by-product from the pulping industry. Globally 80 million tonnes is processed in the pulping industry, making it the largest natural by-product on earth. Today, 99% of the produced lignin is burnt for its energy value.
Lignin Industries convert lignin so it can be blended with virgin and recycled thermoplastics creating new types of bioplastics. For every 1 kg of fossil based plastics replaced by RENOL® we decrease CO₂ by 5-6 kgs released into the atmosphere.
