Sandvik IT Global Shared Services is a support function with the mission of meeting the IT needs of Sandvik's business globally. This is done in an international environment, with various areas of responsibility, such as IT architecture, management systems, process development, IT security and IT support. Today, about 850 people in some 40 countries work in IT Global Shared Services at Sandvik.

Due to a changing setting for the business, where Big Data, Internet of Things and On-time Data have entered the scene, Sandvik IT's SAP function has many exciting projects in progress to meet the new expectations and demands from Sandvik's various business areas. To strengthen our highly skilled team, we are now looking for an exceptional team player, who also happens to be an experienced SAP Basis Technician, to join us at Sandbacka Park in Sandviken.

Job Summary
As Senior SAP Basis Technician, you are part of a team whose primary responsibilities are to manage daily operations within the SAP Basis area, participating in business projects and acting as experts and advisors in technical change projects across Sandvik's organization, and also supporting and educating our external service providers. Considering all different dependencies, you coordinate, perform system upgrades and handle installations of new SAP applications, and you put great effort into continuously improving methods and internal processes.

Your profile
Your background may vary, but preferably you have a degree relevant to the position or equivalent experience and knowledge gained from previous assignments. You understand the ways of working at Sandvik and have at least three years' experience working in IT, and more specifically within SAP Basis, while an infrastructure background and experience working with Network, SQL, Windows and VM Ware are considered advantageous. We expect you to have experience with the technical components of the SAP platform, as well as Windows-based operating systems and databases, while knowledge of Linux may also be of use. As we act in an international environment, your communication skills in English must be excellent, both in speaking and writing, and good knowledge of Swedish is a plus.
