Senior SAP IT solution architect

The SAP Architecture team (Approx. 10 SAP Architects all over the world), is looking for an SAP Architect to work in Göteborg (Sweden) to manage our coming challenges. This will include among other topics, to drive the move towards new SAP solutions (S/4HANA, BW/4HANA and various SAP SaaS solutions).


You will work in the Center of Excellence SAP which is part of Volvo Group Digital & IT. Our IT consultants are taking part of global missions inside Volvo Group, creating added value for business through SAP solution’s technology watch and implementation.


Within Volvo Group Digital & IT, we operate more than 40 different traditional SAP productive instances (and in addition several hundred QA, Development and Sandbox instances). Now also several SAP cloud solutions BTP (CPI, SAC,…) and SAAS as SAP ARIBA. More than 400 employees and contractors are in working in the SAP area at Volvo, located in Sweden, Poland, France, US and India. We have a very close collaboration with SAP and are SAP MaxAttention customer for more than 10 years.


Your mission:
Your focus will be on SAP application and business architecture to drive the Volvo SAP digital transformation towards the new SAP solutions:
Active contribution to pre-studies on strategical projects
Propose and drive tech watch activities on SAP new solutions & technologies (S/4HANA releases, new BTP services, new SAP SaaS…)
Build and perform presentations of SAP to global communities and SAP solution’s responsible of Volvo Group (Business and IT)
Create SAP implementation standards for Volvo
You will be responsible for the design of SAP applications following SAP best practices and roadmap and the Volvo Group architectural frameworks (layered architecture)
You must be able to combine and match business needs with SAP solutions and work as part of a project team
You will participate in reviews of architecture concepts and solutions within the SAP community
You will contribute to Steering Committees when required



Who are you?
Graduated with a master’s degree in IT, you have at least 5 years of experience as an SAP Architect and you know very well at least SAP FI and CO modules and have strong knowledge in IT architecture
You have a good knowledge also of the latest SAP innovations (S/4HANA, BW4HANA, SAP SAAS offering and SAP BTP)
You have architecture skills, and you understand architecture principles. You can define and manage landscape design of SAP solutions
You can integrate all architecture disciplines (Process, Data, Application, Integration, Technology, Security) and advise on functional and technical approach for all systems integrating to SAP
You have a proven experience in SAP projects and SAP support roles – in multiple SAP solutions
You are comfortable in discussing with business about requirements and participate in Steering Committees. You have good presentation skills (written and verbal) and are able to put forward your points in a fact based and convincing manner
You are able to assess and manage IT risks and issues
