As Senior Scientist you will be part of a team of 5 dedicated scientists. We are a contract research organization (CRO) specialized in viral clearance studies for biological drugs.

We offer viral clearance studies in BSLII and BSLIII certified cell and virus laboratories, in compliance with good laboratory practice (GLP) principles and are GLP certified since 2011. Our services range from early R&D to market release. Literature-based viral risk assessment is also offered by our experts with extensive scientific and regulatory experience.

Our office and laboratories are in central Stockholm. Our customers are found worldwide.

Main tasks/responsibilities

- Lead, plan and execute projects in the lab, such as client projects, cell and virus production and purification
- Demonstrates scientific and practical technical expertise in downstream purification (Column Chromatography, Nano filtration) by performing client viral clearance processes/assays
- Responsibility for equipment (i.e. chromatography systems etc)
- Participate in scientific discussions with current and prospective customers
- Shared responsibility for establishing instructions/SOP


What you need to succeed

You need to have minimum 5+ year experience of a similar position and experience from working with practical laboratory work. You have knowledge of cell culture or other work where aseptic techniques are important and practical experience of chromatography system and filtrations such as nano-filtration. You have a B.Sc./M.Sc. within a relevant field as a minimum. English and Swedish language skills are required.

It is a merit if you have:

- Experience from viral clearance studies is an advantage
- Knowledge of GLP and work as Study Director is an advantage
- Experience from practical work with Äkta Pure
- Experience from development within biopharma
- Prior experience in virology
