We are looking for a Senior Scientist to our Sensor & Process Control section within the Start-To-Finish department in BioProcess R&D, Uppsala Sweden. Work together in a cross functional organization to drive sensor evaluation, process intensification and Process Analytical Technologies (PAT), for our customers.
What you’ll do
Network with other functions within BioProcess R&D, internal stakeholders, customers and with external partners to identify and prioritize measurements needs for process intensification/PAT
Initiate development of new technologies. Propose new technologies, approve technology and technical solutions for new products and processes for the bioprocess industry, specifically within the field of PAT, sensor technology evaluation and process intensification
Provide scientific and technical expertise within the field and act as a mentor/technical expert and support peers within the area
Take on the role as Lead System Designer, activity leader, project leader and field expert reviewer
Present scientific and technical results internally and externally, oral and written communication in English


Who you are
PhD/EngD in Biotechnology/Biochemistry/Bioengineering or equivalent area
At least 5 years’ experience of industrial development/R&D with a strong application understanding of biopharmaceutical process development and manufacturing and PAT
In order to succeed in this position, you need to be result-oriented, flexible and creative with a strong collaborative attitude, focusing on the customer needs.
English as working language, preferably also fluent in Swedish
