Arriver™ is a new software unit and brand, fully focused on developing perception, fusion and drive policy software for the next generation cars. It will deliver an open, scalable and flexible architecture solution running on Qualcomm® Snapdragon Ride™ System on a Chip (SoC) platform. Arriver™ has 800 people in five countries - China, Germany, Romania, Sweden, USA - and builds on more than a decade of experience in active safety software development.

In Sweden we are situated in Linkoping, Stockholm and Gothenburg with around 400 colleagues.



What you'll do?

We are looking for a Senior Software Architect with significant automotive background preferably with active safety. As a Software Architect you work in our predevelopment product area ensuring that our next generation products are developed according to state-of-the-art SW methodology. As a SW architect in the predevelopment team, you are a key player defining the core product of our newly formed company which is the Drive Policy SW.

This role includes following tasks includes but are not limited

- Analysis of existing software components and planning and integration of software systems resp. subsystems
- Creation of software architecture concepts and alignment with partners, feature developers, and V&V teams
- Supports the RFI process for new platform customers from the software engineering point of view


As part of the fast-paced exciting journey we are taking towards advanced safety and AD software you will have an excellent chance of growing while contributing in various parts of the product life-cycle.

Our international, agile and highly collaborative teams of developers work closely together to design, develop, and deliver an integrated, customized software stack to global automakers. The SW stack is developed as a global Platform project by experts from our international teams in Romania, China, Germany, and US. Depending on candidates seniority and interest you will have the chance to take on lead roles coordinating the global team of engineers. In our predevelopment team we are creating cutting edge technology based on trends gathered from customers, legal and process communities.

Your daily work will consist of e.g:

- System level product specification work based on SW engineering principles
- Definition of SW component interfaces and structure
- Definition of SW product flow and development methods in collaboration with other stakeholders
- Participate in Proof-of-concept sw development projects
- Creation of SW requirement and requirement management proposals
- Customer and partner communication regarding SW architecture concepts


What you'll bring:

To succeed in this position, we think you have:

- Very good knowledge of embedded systems and software
- a Master of Science in Computer or Electrical Engineer or equivalent area
- a minimum of three years professional and hands-on experience of automotive embedded development
- Very good knowledge in multiprocessor/multicore and Integration platforms
- Good knowledge in Functional Safety and Cyber Security
- Good knowledge in ADAS systems including perception and drive policy definitions
- A solid understanding of V-model and automotive methods to ensure safety and quality through V&V
- Good knowledge of UML/SysML
- Good knowledge of AUTOSAR
- Experience of requirement based development of safety critical SW (V-cycle and ISO26262)
- Co-ordination & Communication skills with special focus on Communication with remote global teams
- Driving License and a fundamental interest in Vehicles and Traffic
