Assignment Description:
We are looking for a Senior Interim Software Asset Management (SAM) Manager to join our dynamic team.
What you will work on:
Act as an interim SAM Manager for our client during an ongoing recruitment process due to a vacancy. Assume the role of interim Software Asset Management (SAM) Manager to provide essential oversight during an ongoing recruitment process due to a vacancy.
Spearhead software asset management efforts within the company’s IT organization, ensuring efficient acquisition, utilization, and retirement of software assets.
Collaborate closely with the organization to assess licensing needs, interpret contracts, and establish robust, cost-effective partnerships with software vendors.
Work in tandem with the IT Sourcing Manager to optimize strategic and tactical engagements with license vendors.
Actively participate in the IT Governance team, fostering relationships and effective collaboration with architects, projects, IT specialists, and managers.
Facilitate projects and guide IT leaders in establishing streamlined processes, roles, and forums dedicated to software asset management.
Manage operational aspects, encompassing license/subscription ordering, renewals, and meticulous upkeep of the software asset management tool.
Drive the development, implementation, and governance of comprehensive software asset management policies, standards, strategies, and processes across the enterprise.
Integrate software asset management principles into projects, programs, and ideally business transformation portfolios.
Apply crucial vendor management principles to enhance vendor relationships and optimize outcomes.
What you bring:
Minimum of 3-5 years’ hands-on experience in software asset management, spanning both operational and strategic aspects.
Profound knowledge of Microsoft and SAP licensing, along with a solid grasp of other major vendors’ licensing regulations.
Proficiency as a power user of at least one SAM tool.
Demonstrated success in formulating, executing, and overseeing enterprise-wide software asset management policies, standards, and processes.
Proven ability to integrate software asset management principles into projects, programs, and ideally business transformation portfolios.
Competent in implementing vital vendor management principles to optimize vendor relationships.
Displayed capability to collaborate effectively across distinct business units, employing excellent communication and teamwork skills to achieve desired outcomes.
Exposure to manufacturing environments and familiarity with process manufacturing
