Our mission
The mission of our team is to show what is possible within autonomous transport research, by implementing and deploying the latest cutting-edge technologies within autonomous driving. We believe in value-driven research, by validating theoretical results through running software in autonomous vehicle prototypes. Our success factor is the close collaboration between agile teams working in different technology areas spanning from hardware and sensors to dispatch and fleet-control systems. We believe in diversity and innovation, capitalizing on each other strengths and skills to tackle the challenges in this exciting area.
Your Tasks
Your main task will be to make the software system available for use in the latest research prototype platform. You will be part of an agile team that both implements and explores state-of-the-art approaches for autonomous driving technologies. You will accelerate and enable the development and the integration of the different components by systematically testing, expanding and troubleshooting the system. You will constantly look for deviations in the system and will fix them yourself or through others.
You will work in tight collaboration with all the agile teams within ATS research, analysing the different components of the ATS stack, and ensuring that the technical performance aspects are optimized.
Your profile
You are analytical, result-oriented and face new challenges with a positive, can-do attitude. You are open and curious towards your teammates, and you enjoy supporting and contributing to the development with your technical expertise.
You have 3+ years of experience in system integration. You are passionate about debugging and troubleshooting software and hardware systems. You enjoy debugging and troubleshooting software and hardware systems. You have experience in C++ programming. You have an interest in multi-thread and multi-process systems, MPI, IPC, and networked and distributed systems.
You have proven industrial experience in the following areas: system integration, troubleshooting of software and hardware, C++ programming, software development on Linux platforms, inter-process communications, virtualization/containerization.
Extra meritorious is the knowledge of one or more of these areas: networking and protocols, Linux OS, Linux kernel, TCP/IP & UDP communication, build systems (CMake), DDS, Ansible, sensors and driver integration, agile development, robotic systems, signal processing, test-driven development, scripting languages (Python, Bash), design of complex software systems.
