Hey you!
If this were a typical job ad, we would point out all the things that are great about us to entice you to join our company. Even small things, like being part of solving the energy crisis in Europe and saving the planet.
We would throw in some buzz words and superlatives on how incredibly unique our company is; like how we were founded in 2013 and, thanks to that, have a stable foundation and are now ramping up our tech department to accelerate the creation of a better tomorrow.
We would probably also use the selling point for you as a Senior Software Developer to be part of building up a new tech department, working with green-tech. And that you would be working with our core system that enables hundreds of thousands of clients around Europe to live greener lives, which is the heart of our ecosystem of services for our customers.
Right around here, we'd encourage you to send in your CV & cover letter. But that's old school, and no one likes writing cover letters anyway.
We talked to our Head of Software Engineering (and avid power shifter) Erik Tilleby, and asked him to tell us more about being a Senior Software Developer for our platform:
So Erik, you're in charge of the expansion of Svea Solar's tech department. What's in store for 2022?
First and foremost, we're building up the team to ensure that we can take the next step to continue our leading position in the solar energy industry. We're only just getting started in this shift, and we're looking for a lot of new team members to help accelerate this growth. As a Senior Software developer, you'll make sure our back-end is well thought through and easy to use.
What are you looking for in a Senior Software Developer?
To be successful in this role, you'll need to have a good technical knowledge of Typescript and Node.js. Also, you would most likely have a solid understanding of building beautiful and simple yet robust complex software systems with an eye for performance and data integrity.
Erik, what is it like to work with you?
My way of working is always linked to freedom under responsibility. I attach great importance to everyone being allowed to do the work they were hired for. As a technical leader, I will build our collaboration around shared goals driving to deliver reliable, repeatable, and sustainable outcomes. Your success will be my success.
The most frequently asked question the past year: what's your take on remote work?Living a couple of hours away from Stockholm myself, I'm really happy that Svea offers a flexible working model. In the tech department, we will make sure to meet up each month in person. But we are more interested in getting the right people on our team than where they live in Sweden.
Sound like something interesting? You know what to do.
