Senior Software Embedded Engineer (IoT)

This is a position for you who are a senior developer, but most of all have a burning interest for wireless communication and embedded programming. Our product is u-connectXpress software, which enables our customers end products to be connected. From your experiences we tailor a position for you, it could be specialist, technical leader, software project manager or a combination. You have an engineering education in software design and embedded hardware as well as an understanding of wireless network communication. You will be part of a dedicated software embedded team at u-blox in Malmö Västra Hamnen.
In this role, you will have the possibility to grow your skills in a specific technical area which you select yourself. You will work together with developer-, application-, hardware- and software engineers in an agile approach.
You are a self-going individual with a positive attitude and a drive to take on challenging task, the team will support you, we are very helpful to each other. It´s important for us to have a sustainable working environment, which makes room for normal working hours and we offer a hybrid model so you have a possibility to work remotely from home.
We are working with applications, above the low-level Wi-Fi or Bluetooth drivers, based on MQTT, TLS, TCP/IP, as well as cloud services, security ciphers, indoor positioning, secure storage/boot, device management, firmware over the air and machine learning. If you have experience in Wi-Fi based protocols this is an extra plus.
Your Responsibilities
Software design and development in C for embedded, real-time systems 
Software development in C# for test automation 
Support project planning and management in an agile environment 
Contribute to architectural decisions and the software roadmap 

Your Skills and Experience 
Master or Bachelor of Science in software engineering 
Wireless communication knowledge in general, Bluetooth and/or Wi-Fi in particular
Experience in C programming of embedded, real-time systems 
Good interpersonal and communication skills
English communication and technical writing
Holder of a Swedish work permit
