SICK IVP in Linköping develops Machine Vision solutions for industrial production and quality assurance. Our 3D imaging technology is the global leader and the latest 3D camera for industrial applications was awarded with the internationally recognized Vision Innovation prize in 2010. We are a part of the German sensor company SICK with more than 7000 employees in 55 countries. SICK IVP is a competence center for Machine Vision within SICK, and we perform research, product development, product management and marketing. We are currently 55 employees. Senior Software Engineer

Our System Engineering team develops vision systems for the Factory and Logistics Automation Industry. Currently we have systems within the areas of Vision Guided Robotics and Consumer Goods Inspection.Our System Engineering team is now growing, and we are looking for a senior software engineer.

As a software engineer you will work with the development of existing and future systems. You will be part of our cross-functional team of software engineers, application engineers and testers and you will work tightly with our product- and project management. The development is done according to agile methods and we have high focus on customer needs. The work is often carried out in close cooperation with a pilot customer or partner.



Profile

You are a team player who likes to work in a changing environment. You value a close cooperation with the end customer, and you are ready to let customers needs be the driving force behind the development. You welcome a certain level of travel, and you feel comfortable acting as a technical interface to the customer.

Your background is a master’s degree in computer science, software engineering or corresponding. Youhave,through experience, gained broad knowledge in the field of software design and development, and you have an interest in well designed, high quality software. You value a good development environment with continuous integration and automated tests.

Good programming skills in C++ are required. Experience and skills in Java is a strong merit. Your comfort zone as a developer reaches from real-time software in embedded systems to windows programs and user interfaces. We also value experience in computer vision or image analysis and experience from agile methods.

Good language skills are required.
