Who we are:
We are looking for an experienced Senior Softeware Engineer - Java developer to join our group (AD and ADAS Analytics) at Safe Vehicle Automation, Volvo Cars.

Reliability is at the core of the future of our AD solution at Volvo Cars. Therefore, we are forming a new team in our group with a focus on “fleet risk analytics and management” for our AD solution. The AD fleet risk management team will take on a variety of challenging problems from deriving insights from usage of the fleet to securing AD operational safety.

This team will be responsible for:
• Leading the vision, strategy, and roadmap of reliability/risk analytics.
• Developing statistical packages to automate reliability analytics and residual risk quantification.
• Test case generation strategy and method development for completeness argumentation and AD residual risk analysis.
• Working with vehicle fleet data to provide insights on the reliability of AD functionality and providing data-supported input for operational safety decision making.
• Analyzing data from selected events during unsupervised driving.

For this role, you will:
• Need to have a BSc. MSc. in Computer Science, Statistics, or a relevant Engineering discipline.
• Need strong programming skills in Java.
• Experience with data analysis and statistical learning.

Experience in areas below will be considered as merit:
• Quantitative reliability/risk analysis
• Machine learning development
• Financial risk analytics
• Verification and validation of ADAS/AD software
• CI/CD pipeline development, e.g., Git, Jenkins
