Elekta Instrument AB is strengthening our Engineering team developing our future radiation therapy devices. This is one of several open positions where we are recruiting a Senior Software Engineer to our Control Systems team. The position is located at Elekta’s head office in central of Stockholm, Sweden and you will report to Head of Control Systems.

What you’ll do at Elekta
As a Senior Embedded Software Engineer in the Control Systems group you will be part of an agile scrum team and together with other teams you will specify, develop, maintain and test the software used to control and interact with the hardware to deliver the planned treatment in a safe and reliable way. The agile team is part of a program working according to Scale Agile Framework (SAFe).

Your Main Responsibilities
Participating in requirements engineering
Participating in architectural and detailed design creating the appropriate documentation
Implementing software, primarily in C including unit and integration tests
Reviewing code and software related artifacts
Sharing knowledge and coaching co-workers, and taking responsibility for software code and design improvements



The right stuff
To be a suitable candidate for this position we think you have a Bachelor or Master of Science in Engineering or equivalent, specializing in computer science, electronics, mechatronics, physics or similar. You have profound experience in agile methodologies, development of test frameworks and simulators and have experience of working in a regulated industry, preferably in the medical sector. You have excellent command of English, both written and spoken.
You also have several years work experience in:


C and C++ programming in a Windows or embedded environment
Micro Controller (EtherCAT, canopen, field bus)
Board Support Package development (e.g. DMA, UART, USB, Ethernet)
RTOS (e.g. FreeRTOS)
lwIP (lightweight IP, Adam Dunkel)
Google Test/Google Mock
Git and Azure DevOps
