We are looking for a senior full-stack engineer to join our team and that can, within a couple of months, lead a team of engineers at Alva.

Why is this role important to us
In order to grow our engineering team efficiently, experienced engineers that can be part of leading the growth of both the team and our software architecture is very important for us. Currently, we are working as one engineering team but within the next year, we will most likely outgrow that costume and will need to separate into multiple teams. We need someone who, by that point, is ready to take a leading role for one of those teams.

What will you do
- Work as a full-stack engineer and be part of our engineering team’s day-to-day work. The system that you will be working with is described in more detail here (https://www.notion.so/alvalabs/Working-as-a-Software-Engineer-at-Alva-92676a3f5a52451d882b6a281941ba43).
- Collaborate with engineers and designers on the team to build a reliable product that solves our customers’ problems. You will act as a leader within the engineering team and will help other engineers develop.
- Drive technical discussions about, and technical discovery of, changes and new improvements to our product.
- Contribute with your broad technical knowledge to impact both the way we work and our software architecture.
- As the engineering team grows and is split into multiple teams, you will take on the leadership role of one of the engineering.

What have you done before
You are an experienced software engineer and have a broad knowledge of building distributed systems. Not necessarily within the same technologies that we are using, although experience with them will be considered beneficial.

Experience of leading an engineering team is not a requirement. You might have been an informal leader in an engineering team for some time and want to take the next step in your career and become a formal one.
