For our product area Analytics, and Data platform, we are looking for senior software engineers who thrive in a workplace where agility, automation, and cloud are non-negotiable. Is that you?
Job Description
The teams within the Product Area Analytics & Data Platforms are responsible for all data processing, reporting, and advanced analytics capabilities across the whole value chain. As a team, we are on a journey to bring data and analytics to the forefront of innovation.
Our to-be self-service data platform will be based on a Data Mesh architecture and GCP. The core team building it needs to consider massive scalability aspects in terms of data and compute scale, user count and variation in user needs, security, and the large number of autonomous data centric product teams in need of the capabilities on the platform.
This role requires you to be a natural leader in exploring new architecture with hands on the keyboard. We believe that you are good at coaching others – like leading programming sessions, presenting and aligning solutions to complex problems. You also have a wide perspective on engineering practices to build scalable and robust platforms.
You are very familiar with modern engineering practices have a DevOps mindset and are familiar with automating software delivery. When it comes to the platform itself, we see that you are very familiar with multiple cloud platforms, monitoring, CI/CD, Infrastructure-as-Code and have knowledge about secure coding practices.
Qualifications
What you will do:
• Build our new data platform based on GCP, CI/CD and IaC automation
• Expand and refine platform module catalog and make them available to other product teams.
• Work with modern DevOps practices.
• Develop data mesh tech practices and tooling for the entire H&M group
• Support, challenge and solve architectural problems with hands on keyboard
• Coach Product Teams in how to migrate towards the new platform
• Ensure technical aspects of the platform is kept by security standards, scalability, observability, self-service, and performance
Qualifications:
• Experience in data query languages (SQL or similar).
• Experience with data centric programming in Python
• Advanced knowledge in infrastructure as code (Terraform is a plus) and cloud-based platforms.
• +3 years experience
• Have competence within different agile frameworks and supporting tools.
• Great collaboration and communication skills in English, Swedish is a plus.
• Have strong problem-solving skills – able to find solutions in complex situations and helping it come alive by coding.
A plus if you also have:
• Experience and understanding of modern Data Platforms and Analytics.
• Experience in programming languages such (Java, Scala, Python).
• Experience in GCP - Dataflow, Dataproc and BigQuery.
• Experience in data processing frameworks - Beam, Spark, Hive, Flink.
