This is what your new colleagues do
At Core System Platform we are building a computer-in-the-car architecture, a key for enabling innovation within areas such as Advanced Connectivity, Machine Learning, and Autonomous Drive. Our mission is to create a Vehicle Control Unit platform using new technologies like DriveOS and NVIDIA’s latest chip technology in combination with more traditional car signalling technologies. We are dedicated to delivering platform functions simplifying the application development to create a safe, reliable, and secure platform solution within Volvo Cars for increased innovation and speed. Within Core System Platform, several High Integrity teams are jointly responsible for the creation and deployment of a platform for high-ASIL components and safety-critical processes.
What you will do
You will become part of a cross-functional team contributing to a High Integrity platform environment for a variety of applications. The team takes lead on software development process definition, owns an embedded software platform, handshakes requirements with internal and external stakeholders, troubleshoots, and creates a software development kit to integrate external applications. Typical work packages in the team’s backlog could be around the specification, solution, and testing of: software download and diagnostic, network communication, functional safety, and/or cybersecurity. Your closest surrounding consists of software platform developers using C, C++ and/or Python, as well as Software Architects, System Engineers, Scrum Masters and Product Owners. As part of a fully empowered agile team, you will be one of the central contributors within the High Integrity area to ensure a world-leading, safe, and sustainable software platform.

You and your skills
Mandatory requirements
* You have at least 5+ years proven experience in embedded software development or architecture
* You have a background in system design, implementation, testing, automation, integration or maintenance using C/C++ or Python3
* You are a holder of a university degree within Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or similar
* Personally, you are an excellent networker and surely cross-functional with great communication skills
You are fluent in spoken and written English
You have experience in at least one of the following areas:
* AUTOSAR Classic, AUTOSAR Adaptive or Automotive Grade Linux (AGL) environment
* Design of safe and secure functions, both on low-level and ISO-26262 and SAE-21434-compliant
* Real-time data communication and networking, Ethernet, CAN or similar protocols, or general network topologies
Meritorious
* You worked in an automotive, medical, or aerospace environment before
* You worked with safety-focused microcontrollers such as Infineon’s AURIX TriCore before
* You have profound insight in NVIDIA’s Drive AGX platform
* You have experience within industry-standard requirements and agile development tools such as JIRA, Git/Gerrit, Confluence
* You are result-oriented with a “think-outside-of-the-box-attitude”
* You have a keen perception with a good portion of quality understanding
* You are self-driven; you think in solutions and have the energy to make things happen
* Your energizing attitude sparks also your co-workers
