Assignment Description:
We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to work with high quality Software Development and deployment at our company’s applying standards for Software Engineering by using Agile Practices that support delivery and rapid, continuous, frequent software delivery.
Specifically, to design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve software used to support the company's business in a fast-changing digital world.
What you'll do:
● Development of high quality within Software Code which has been tested and is ready to be shipped applying and using good practices and agreed standards.
● Development of high-quality Software Design and Architecture, by working in agile teams in across the capability areas, contributing to the development and maintenance of products and solutions.
● Apply and adhere to good practice Software Engineering practices (e.g. DRY principles, TDD and BDD, continuous Integration, Automated Tests, Pair Programming, code reviews) within an Agile/Iterative Development approach including validation and verification testing.
● Ensure good understanding of each user story and the expected outcome, asking for further detail when required.
● Contributing to the continuous development of standards against which Software Development should take place as well as exploring and bring in new technologies to boost innovation and development productivity.
● Support the common Digital Unit site on standards and methods when necessary to ensure alignment across the Digital Unit.
● Work across initiatives within the company, driving the development of different engineering patterns for different types of solutions.
Who you are:
● Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or IT-related fields and has expertise in C# .NET.
● Ability to manage databases for business intelligence and analytical applications using MSSQL.
● Wants to be part of a highly effective team and is not afraid to contribute their skills, contribute their ideas and coach others to make that happen.
● A great communicator, who can explain complex technical concepts and is curious person who likes learning new things and sharing ideas with their colleagues.
● Driven, Engaged and Solution- and quality-oriented developer who thrives in an agile development environment.
● Technological experience with cloud, preferably GCP, implementing API's, event-based integrations, CICD: Knowledge of GitHub actions, Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, SQL, NoSQL, data modelling, data stores (operational, analytics), Nodejs, Docker, Java, knowledge of design patterns, clean code, TDD and experience within ETL flows.
