Assignment Description:
We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer – Maps Developer Platform to join our dynamic team.
What you will work on:
Develop new APIs and tools that enhance the Maps Developer experience across Native, Web, and Android platforms.
Lead the ideation, design, and implementation of new features, culminating in announcements at the client’s Developer Conference.
Collaborate directly with a diverse range of clients to create impactful mapping solutions.
Elicit requirements from clients and translate them into scalable, reliable code.
Design APIs that enable developers, both internal and external, to integrate mapping features into their applications.
Work cross-functionally with teams in Human Interaction Design, Services, Engineering, and Data to ensure seamless feature integration.
Develop, launch, and maintain cross-platform features that connect Maps with the ecosystem.
Collaborate with QA to develop and maintain testing tools and test cases.

What you bring:
Over 6 years of hands-on software engineering experience.
Strong ability to clearly and succinctly explain complex problems.
A collaborative spirit with a passion for iterating on ideas within cross-functional teams.
A keen eye for software design and architecture.
Proficiency in functional programming, with expertise in modern JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) methodologies, particularly using Docker.
Skills in designing and building public APIs.
Familiarity with rendering technologies such as OpenGL, Metal, or WebGL.
Experience in technical writing, including contributing to or authoring developer documentation.
Proficiency in English is sufficient for this role.
