This position is based in Uppsala, where Thermo Fisher develops, manufactures, and markets complete blood test systems to support the clinical diagnosis and monitoring of allergy, asthma, and autoimmune diseases. The job:
Would you like to work with outstanding allergy and autoimmune solutions and innovative systems? We currently have an exciting opening for a Software System design engineer driving the value chain of new innovative concept solutions for our customers. The role includes closely collaborating with the development team from concept, requirements, development, and final testing.
As a Senior Software System Engineer, you will have the technical responsibility for developing new and existing analysis systems with a focus on new functionality. You will also initiate development work that ensures that the designs are driven by meeting the current and future needs of our customers and requirements from regulatory authorities.
The role will drive the system definition, concept development, and system design throughout the product life cycle to distribute requirements and work closely with the other departments focusing on software development.

How will you make an impact?
• Active leader driving product requirements based on customer needs and transforming these to a concrete software design concepts for the development team.
• Accountable for driving new software introduction programs with efficiency and clear focus.
• SME in supporting the product life cycle process from development to customer feedback.
How will you get there?
• Bachelor's and/or Master's (preferred) degree in R&D or a relevant field
• 5+ years' experience preferred in software developing concepts, for example, .NET, C#, and databases.
• 5+ years' experience preferred in software system requirements specification
• 5+ years' experience preferred in planning, leading, and reporting technical activities and sub-projects
• Structured and organized standout colleague with good interpersonal skills (both spoken and written)
• As a person, you should be someone who takes the lead and initiative and works in a structured way with the project team.
• Clear communicator, both verbally and written in Swedish and English.
