Polestar is blazing a new trail, dedicating ourselves to the development and refinement of electric vehicle performance. Your experience as an expert in battery software testing would be invaluable to us both in testing our inhouse developed HV battery hardware and software.

What you´ll do

The BMS Software, a part of the Polestar Propulsion Department, is a team with a mission to deliver results which exceed the customers’ expectations. The team consists of software engineers, calibration engineers, test engineers and system designers. The area of responsibility spans from researching innovative solutions to developing state of the art battery management software with test and release. Your responsibilities will be:

- Designing, validating and develop test methods to battery management systems in the vehicle and support testing of the complete system in the vehicle
- Troubleshoot and measure in HIL and complete vehicle level and support integration of the battery
- Be up to date on legal requirements and feedback from fleet, and evolve with new test methods that continuously will improve our products, remove obsolete methods
- Push us in becoming data driven in our decision making.


Essentially, you will be our expert in how to test our inhouse software and battery systems that will maximize the attributes like range, charging performance and energy efficiency and at the same time always prioritize battery safety and availability of the system.



Who you are

You have a strong will to create the future of electric vehicles - it’s probably fair to call you an EV nerd passionate about solving climate changes. You are enthusiastic, motivated, well-organized and driven. You’re not afraid to try new approaches and out of the box methods. You are a fast learner, have a holistic view, including vision, business, and customers. It is qualifying to have previous experience in battery management systems (Matlab Simulink) measurement tools, like INCA, Canalyzer and measurement systems. You have an education within electrical engineering or other similar university degree and at least two years of experience with measurements and analyzing.

At Polestar, you will be a part of a cross-functional and international team, with English as a natural language for written and spoken communication.
