The Koenigsegg Software & Electronics department is responsible for designing and developing software and electronics for the in-vehicle infotainment system, electronic control units (ECU) and supporting tools. We are working very closely with the other engineering departments, production and service/aftersales. We are now looking to expand the team with a skilled and experienced software architect with the ability to transform product requirements and production needs to state of the art solutions and also further advance the embedded system technologies in our cars.
The responsibilities associated with this position puts a strong requirement on your ability to cooperate with other departments in other technical domains. The development activities are primarily focused on the embedded systems (Electronic Control Units and Software System).
Responsibilities
Lead, create, and develop the architecture of future Koenigsegg’s vehicle platforms from high level down to component level by:
- Performing complex and detailed software architecture and design analysis leading to a scalable software solution
- Take an active part in designing the electrical architecture
- Take ownership of the in-car communication specification
- Defining the software composition and components
- Defining the platform requirements in term of OS configuration (tasks, Interrupts, Memory Allocation) computing, interfaces, inter-process communication etc.
- Generate innovative technical solutions, lead, and contribute to their development and implementation across different platforms
- Identify areas for improvement, provide technical guidance and be the key driver for their implementations
- Take a leading role in bringing latest and greatest technology innovations into the Koenigsegg’s platforms
- Collaborate with other teams to enforce strong software architecture and design practices into the platforms
- Mentor and guide the software team.
- Work with an agile cross-functional team of hardware engineers, application/UI software engineers, QA/Validation, and designers
- Participate in the development of our way of working
Need to have
- Strong and proven experience with automotive software architecture
- Experience with Unified Diagnostic Services (UDS) and vehicle bus standards
- Ability to follow circuit schematics and PCB layout drawings
- Experience with Agile development process (Git, Gerrit, Jenkins, Jira, CI/CD)
- Desire and ability to work in a multi-tasking and highly dynamic environment
- High standards for code quality, maintainability, and performance
- Fluency in English (Swedish is not a requirement).
Good to have
- Experience designing complex fault-tolerant safety systems in accordance with industry standard specifications (e.g., ISO26262, ASPICE)
- Experience in building security-focused platforms.
