You will join our new way of working is centered on Agile Product Teams where there are full ownership and accountability of the product. The teams are small, and we strive for an Entrepreneurial spirit where everyone has a voice and an impact. At the same time, are constantly iterating, adapting, and developing the product to achieve excellence for our customers. Lastly, we work in close collaboration with the Product Owner and encourage cross Product Teams partnerships as well.
Job Description
This position will focus on working on the Product Information Services team.
We provide easily accessible, high-quality aggregated product information, with scalable technology for our global consumers. We are responsible for the Product API that aggregates and provides product data for all brands within H&M Group.
We have around 50 integrations and the information is used by a lot of systems that expose product information both to customers and internally.
Finally, we are also responsible for a GUI-app where you can search for product information.
The current team consists of approx. 20 people located both in Stockholm and Chennai. Mostly you will interact with developers and testers but also with architects, business experts, data analysts, and with the product owner.
We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer with Data and Solution Architecture focus to help us improve our product from an architectural perspective and focus on the data flows and API design.
As your daily responsibilities you can expect:
Solution architecture (multiple connected services, algorithms, optimization, large data quantities).
Data architecture (data modeling, data aggregation, the business perspective of data).
Complex flow design (queues, automatic reprocessing, data loss prevention).
API design (logical consistency, user-friendliness, performance).
To succeed we think you have:
Ability to understand the overall solution in a broad landscape (what-if thinking, design consistency).
“Data solution sense” (capacity to quickly see how data sources are linked and joined).
Capacity to create and communicate the technical design to a big audience.
Work without predefined guidelines (capacity to invent rule books, design patterns, naming conventions from scratch).
User empathy
Act as advisory in management decisions with both area and domain level.
Contribute to technical and business innovation.
Build consensus on complicated technical topics that require extensive analysis and involve multiple business functions.
Qualifications
We are looking for a senior software engineer with a bachelor's degree in computer science or similar and at least 5 years of solution architecture experience. You should also have experience working at large organizations with data aggregation and API design. Having experience in the e-commerce industry is also large merit.
