Digital Delivery is a new function within Volvo Group Digital & IT. It has the ambition to identify and execute on new digital initiatives in tight collaboration with TD/BAs and Group Functions as well as modernize and transform our existing solutions into products and to secure agile ways of working across the whole Digital Delivery function.


DD Powertrain is a global organization with colleagues to share experience in a global environment. We are located close to GTO Powertrain plants as an integrated part of operations and in daily contact with our users. We contribute to reach the plant’s objectives. We are team players with clear common ambitions, and we win together.


We are now looking for a Senior Solution Architect to strengthen our team, bringing expertise and skills, supporting the plants digitalization journey.


Your main activities and responsibilities
As Solution Architect, you will lead and coordinate architectural work across the different teams and deliveries. You will define and develop the strategic and tactical direction of our architecture. As part of a global organization, you will actively cooperate with various stakeholders with ease in a multi-cultural environment.


You will be involved in designing and maintaining the architecture views, models, and target architecture for the solutions and drive the work to identify and reduce the technical debt. You will align architecture with IT Security Directives and fulfill demand for information security. You will also contribute to the implementation of our solution components.


You will stay up-to date in architectural trends & relevant industry models and be a mentor for developers in the team.

Technical skills
IT architecture design, solution and infrastructure
Integration Architecture experience

Clouds technologies eg. AWS, Azure, OpenShift
DevSecOps
IoT
Test driven development
Advanced analytics / Machine Learning
Network knowledge (Load Balancing, Routing, certificates)
Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery
Well aware of agile cultures and methodologies, managing a portfolio of several assignments at one time



Background
Preferably one of the following, or equivalent:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge skills and abilities
A Master of Science in Engineering or Master in Administration or equivalent
