We are looking for a Senior Solution Architect that will join our Banking client's CBP architecture team.
Detailed description of work task to be carried out
The Core Banking Programme (CBP) is the largest Programme in our client's portfolio, CBP is a complex integration programme which has been running for 5 years and is in production in Finland and Denmark and Piloting in Sweden. The plan is to expand the product offering and segments and migration customer from legacy products onto the new platform during 2022/23.
What you will be doing
- Be accountable for developing transition and target architectures that provides explicit guidance and steering for initiatives in the context of Group Architecture target architecture visions.
- Provide detailed solution design and architectural leadership that includes creation of content relating to business, application, process and technology architecture viewpoints
- Craft architectural blueprints to support coordinated realisation of multiple initiatives across the bank. It includes documenting and diagramming conceptual, logical and physical architectures across the viewpoints listed. The candidate must also be able to articulate benefits and drawbacks of various design options and recommend solutions that deliver the most business value while limiting technical debt.
- Working within our client's Solution Architecture Methodology to ensure the following outcomes:
- Problem Space “Step 1” - document the business problem with the right considerations and constraints to articulate benefits and drawbacks of design options and recommend the right solutions based on the alignment to strategy, decommissioning, business value and transition that limit technical debt.
- Solution Space “Step 2” - document the logical design and where needed initiate the physical design resulting in an explicit built inventory for CBP Delivery Trains
- Extraction of the Problem / Solution Spaces into High Level Design that are published into the Group Architecture repository ahead of the release going into production
- Solution Assurance and collaboration / join up with the delivery trains to ensure accurate consumption of the build inventory
- Solution Lookahead work is planned and completed ahead of when it is needed to inform Step 1 Problem Spaces based on the Epics defined for 2021/22

Required Skills and Experience
- 5+ years of related work experience in the areas of Core Banking, Digital and Assisted Channels, Customer On-boarding, Loan Origination, Product Servicing, Credit Risk Automation, Data Governance & Modelling, Event Driven Architectures and Data Warehousing.
- 5+ years’ experience with delivering architecture and solution design in a client-facing, consulting and/or delivery role, working in large transformation projects in areas of Core Banking, Event Driven Architecture, Lending Automation or Process Automation / BRM / CRM Tools in banking or financial services industries
- 5+ years’ experience with Core Banking Software such as Temenos, SAP, InfoSys edgeverve, TCS or Oracle
- Demonstrated ability to drive development of target and transition architectures and to craft fit-for-purpose architecture content that provides explicit guidance for large and complex transformation initiatives.
- Demonstrated experience with integration technologies, methods and architecture patterns to support batch, real-time and near-real-time data integration to support operational lending, analytical and reporting use cases.
- Proficient with business analysis, software engineering, integration and orchestration, technical solution design, and risk and quality management.
- Demonstrated experience working with agile methodology like SAFe
