About this opportunity
Ericsson recently launched Intelligent Automation Platform (EIAP), a new Service Management and Orchestration entity, plus much more. It includes a Non-Real-Time Radio Intelligent Controller (non-RT-RIC) for running radio network applications (rApps) as part of Intelligent RAN Automation. It will play a key role in improving network performance and enhancing customer experience while delivering operational saving.
Our team is leading the Global Network Management Customer Adaptation business in this transformation and is set up to define and develop services business and support Ericsson Market Area (MA) customer engagements with software deliveries in relation to EIAP and existing portfolio. The team drives service development, service efficiency and provides key competence in customer delivery engagements carried out together with our offshore team on customer requests.
This is an opportunity to support shaping and redefining our solutions and business into the IAP platform spanning cross network deployment, healing, automation & optimization. Engaging in self organizing network functions and AI & ML features to automate the operation of the networks. The position will allow you to agree with solution owners and development units on the new service offerings definition. Crafting customer stories with value-based argumentation, delivery models definition and shaping critical service assets enabler in a direct interaction with our end users is a continuous activity.
We see a strong momentum to evolve and extend the CA software driven service delivery business in the coming years and lead the transition to cloud native platforms and more open eco systems. Within the team there are good development possibilities in a diverse work environment within a multi skilled team with a close connection to both the global market as well as the development organizations. You will deal with the latest functionality and techniques Ericsson offers in the domain.
You will collaborate and communicate, an international environment, both with colleagues internally as well as customers and suppliers to Ericsson. You will, in most engagements, work remotely but there could be occasional cases of travel worldwide for internal or customer activities.
What you will do
Drive platform serviceability requirements and SDK evolution
Evolve standard design methodology
Manage pre-sales activities, including pre-studies, solution description, work packages definitions and effort estimates
Creation of HLD/LLD documentation and lead implementation teams in customer deliveries
Support creation and readiness of service offering
Prepare commercial solution material and conduct customer presentations
You will bring
Knowledge, competence, and experience in the following areas is useful:
- Software Solutioning and design, including technical understanding of software design principles, methodologies, languages, and protocols
- OSS-ii, O-RAN ONAP, ETSI, TMF standards as well as A1, O1/O2, R1 interfaces
- Open application development eco-systems
- Cloud native architecture, containers, K8s, Docker, Micro Services, VMWare TKG, Red Hat OpenShift, Ericsson ECCD and CNIS
- Artificial intelligence and machine learning techniques
- Telecommunication with focus on Network Management (Network Deployment & Healing, Optimization, and Automation)
Drive work in a structured & proactive manner, superb communication skills verbally and in writing with an ability to explain solutions and processes to the receiver on their level.
Collaborative, team-player with ability to work across domains, in teams, across geographies and cultures. Ability to build effective relationships and excellent social and consultative skills.

The location is primarily posted in Gothenburg Sweden, but as we prioritize competence over location the position can also be considered in Athlone Ireland, Madrid Spain or Jorvas Finland and possibly other locations where Ericsson Service Delivery is present.
