We have an opening as the Senior Sourcing Manager of our Inbound team, an opportunity that seldomly opens up.

Your Tasks.
As the Senior Sourcing Manager in the Inbound area you will be commercially responsible for the European flows from our suppliers base, together with three other Sourcing Managers. The Inbound area is one of the largest segment at Scania Purchasing. It’s a segment for which you will be responsible to establish and coordinate the Sourcing strategies, and as Scania grows - so do the complexity of our Logistics network.
Within your area of responsibility, you:
• Set the tender strategy, execute on the strategies and negotiate commercial terms of the quotes,
• Optimize business cases with focus on our decision triangle: Price, Quality and Sustainability
• Mentor and guide your colleagues in commercial mind-set, strategies and negotiation tactics
• Actively contribute in developing the Scania Purchasing Processes
As the Senior of your area, you will represent Purchasing in cross-functional steering groups to decide on how to improve the logistics network as well as development in our way of working. Hence, it’s of importance that you are comfortable in making own decisions and later communicate reasons to your stakeholders.
You will be the commercial owner of several key carriers within the Inbound segment and be the main point of contact for internal and external activities. In your daily work you will be in charge of and managing all commercial topics, including e.g. large tenders, contract management and supplier development.
The position offers a global environment and you’re social network will include a variety of people from different cultures, both internally and externally. The work require collaboration with internal cross functions as well as our Purchasing colleagues within the VW group.
Your Profile
We look for a candidate who enjoys doing business, has a strong commitment and who works well in a collaborative environment. You are professional, calm and creative and you possess the ability to see the bigger picture, often finding win-win solutions to the challenges you face. You switch between different topics and surroundings with ease and enjoy having a large and global professional network.
Your main area of competence lies in business strategies and collaboration. You can evaluate risks/ opportunities in legal frameworks and set negotiation tactics for a variety of commercial situations. You feel comfortable with developing strategies and taking responsibilities for a business area within which you will coordinate the overall short and long term targets.
The position requires several years of professional experience in commercial roles, strategic business development and/or project management. Having worked within the automotive sector is seen as an advantage. You will be trusted with the mandate to act on behalf of Purchasing as well as question our ways of working to improve efficiency.
