We have an opening as the Senior Sourcing Manager of our Inbound team, an opportunity that seldomly opens up.

Your Tasks.
As a Senior Sourcing Manager in the Inbound team you will be commercially responsible for the European flows together with three other colleagues. You will be responsible to establish and coordinate the Sourcing strategies for Scania in close cooperation within the TRATON group. Since Scania is growing our global footprint, the logistic network will increase in complexity generating an arena for you to be creative in.
Within your area of responsibility, you:
• Create the tender strategy and negotiate terms and conditions to fulfil them,
• Balance decisions to optimise on Sustainability, Price and Quality,
• Mentor and guide colleagues in commercial mind-set, as well as interpersonal skills,
• Actively contribute to the overall performance by leading change
As the Senior of your area, you will represent Purchasing in multi-functional steering groups to decide on how to improve the logistics network as well as our way of working.
You will be the main point of contact for internal and external activities in regards to several key carriers, taking care of day to day business like tenders, contract management and supplier development.

You evaluate risks/ opportunities in legal frameworks to set negotiation tactics with ease, for your own as well as other team-mates, in a variety of commercial situations. You consider and balance short-term and long term targets while doing so.
We think the position requires several years of professional experience in commercial roles, project management or similar. Having worked with logistics or within the automotive sector is seen as an advantage. We mainly use English as business language, hence being fluent in both written and spoken is mandatory. You should be prepared to occasionally travel (when safe again).
