Senior Specialist, Pulp Mills

Services Business Line offers sustainable services for Pulp, Board and Paper, Tissue and Energy customers. As Senior Specialist, Pulp Mills, you will further develop mill wide process improvement solutions together with technology specific process engineers, our agreement development team and with our sales areas. Your main responsibilities will include:
Develop mill-wide offering concepts including plant optimization solutions for services.
Sales support in designing optimized mill wide process flows.
Support agreements sales with mill wide solutions.
Provide trainings for customers, act as a keynote speaker in customer seminars for mill level optimization solutions.
Participate and drive the internal coordination for mill-wide solutions in Valmet with other Business lines.

At Valmet we get things done by working together. In this role, you will work with colleagues in different fields around the world to fulfil the customer needs. You will have a key role in developing our mill wide process improvement offering and to make sure we develop our capabilities for these services. You will be a member of a team of mill wide specialist colleagues around the world, creating customer solution concepts, supporting agreement deliveries as well as drive and participate in R&D projects related to customer process improvements.
Requirements
Minimum bachelor's degree in Chemical & Process Engineering for Pulp and Paper industries or equivalent bachelor or master’s degree
Experience of working with several of the process-islands in the pulp mill
Experience of mass and energy balances from process industry
Solid understanding of the pulp industry and business processes
Business acumen and ability to achieve results under pressure
Ability to succeed in international matrix environment
Effective written and oral communication skills in English along with presentation and analytical skills
Willingness and ability to travel on an international basis

It is a plus if you also have experience such as:
Proven results in managing growth and profitability
Experience of leadership in a managerial role with track record of achieving results both individually and for the team
Experience from process optimization of other process industries
