A client in Gothenburg is seeking a skilled Strategic Buyer Professional to lead cost reduction efforts and implement segment strategies. If you have more than 5 years of relevant experience and a passion for driving purchasing activities, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
Role description:
• Manages strategic sourcing efforts, driving cost reduction, and implementing segment strategy within the designated area of responsibility.
• Develops and executes strategic purchasing activities within the commodity.
• Establishes processes for supplier relationship management and sets continuous improvement goals.
• Negotiates contracts and coordinates supplier integration plans with internal stakeholders.
• Monitors market dynamics affecting materials/services availability and pricing.
• Collaborates with internal teams to identify sourcing needs, create buyer/market profiles, track marketplace trends, and establish service level expectations.
• May lead transformation initiatives focusing on digitalization and sustainability.
At a senior level, individuals may lead efforts to implement changes such as digitalization and sustainability. They utilize advanced expertise acquired through both education and professional experience. Their duties may involve overseeing projects and operations, functioning autonomously with minimal oversight, mentoring and evaluating junior colleagues, and handling challenging and intricate issues.
Requirements:
• Possesses practical knowledge acquired through education and more than 5 years of relevant work experience.
• Demonstrates the ability to work independently.
• Faces challenging problems, although they are typically not highly complex.
• Capable of influencing others within the job area through clear communication of facts, policies, and practices.
