Who We Are 

We are responsible for the procurement of production & development equipment. We work strategically with the business; developing and implementing purchasing strategies and activities.  

This is done in a global environment where your social network will include a diverse variety of people both internally, within different departments, and externally, together within Traton, Volkswagen Group and suppliers.

Job Description 

In this Senior Sourcing Manager position, you will be responsible for a dedicated category of Equipment Investments while supporting the entire Investments team to strengthen our knowledge in strategic areas and coming projects. You will be responsible to establish Sourcing strategies for your segments while you support further developing of the overall strategy and exploring the possibilities of the transformation within the company.  

Within your area of responsibility, you:  


• Create the tender strategy and negotiate terms and conditions to fulfil them
• Balance decisions to optimise Technology, Quality, Delivery and Costs
• Steer procurement and engineering projects
• Scout for new suppliers and technologies according to the company’s strategic goals
• Mentor and guide colleagues in commercial mindset, as well as interpersonal skills
• Actively contribute to the overall performance by leading change and challenging current methods

As the Senior in your area, you will represent Purchasing in multi-functional projects and steering groups to decide on how to improve the Investments network as well as our ways of working.  

You will be the main point of contact for internal and external activities in regards to your segments as well as our general processes.

We think the position requires several years of professional experience in commercial roles. We use English as an official business language, hence being fluent in both written and spoken is mandatory.
