Senior Strategic Sourcing Manager

At Climeon, we strive to make the world a better place by improving the climate and environment with our Heat Power modules that converts low temperature heat into electricity. Our Production and Sourcing team is in the very core of our business, driving and supporting procurements, projects, activities and cost control for the entire organization. We are now looking for a Senior Strategic Sourcing Manager to join the team. The Production and Sourcing department is the perfect place for someone who enjoys working cross- functional, using both communicative and technical skills on both a daily basis and strategically long term by managing supplier relations.

As a Senior Strategic Sourcing Manager at Climeon, you will be responsible for the development and execution of assigned strategic sourcing category plans. You will be negotiating and contracting with the supply base, ensuring alignment with the strategic sourcing category plans, as well as conduct sourcing activities (in conjunction with the key business stakeholders) that optimizes value across the supplier & business relationships for Climeon.

Some of your responsibilities will include:

- Setting strategic directions for assigned categories through collaborative development of strategic sourcing category plans including developing, leading, and executing category sourcing strategies
- Leading the development and execution of all sourcing-related functions; performing due diligence and assessment of prospective suppliers, negotiating contracts and ensuring effective transition to operations during implementation
- Bring strategic thought leadership to account to identify waste and operational efficiencies
- Conduct industry deep dive analysis in categories & provide proactive insight to long term potential sourcing strategies (3+ years)

Who are you?

In order to succeed in this role, we seek someone with a technical degree (B.Sc or M.Sc) as well as minimum five years of strategic sourcing experience for categories or similar. We believe that you have gained a deep understanding of the total cost of ownership, supply assurance, quality and leveraging of supplier relationships to add value in cost, innovation and supply across assigned categories through your previous experience. You also have a proven track record of leading changes with an ability to influence across the organization and deliver results in evolving environments.

In short, we are looking for a technical, strategic and analytical person with excellent communication skills who can run the strategic sourcing category independently while sharing Climeon’s vision.
