Senior Strategy Consultant

The Business Area Customers and Solutions (BA C&S) is responsible for sales of electricity, gas and energy services in all of Vattenfall’s markets. The BA C&S consists of five Business Units (BUs): Nordics, Germany and France, Netherlands and UK, E-mobility and BI&S. The BU Business Innovation and Strategy (BI&S) drives strategy and business innovation across the BA. Within BI&S, the strategy team supports the BA Management in key strategic topics, which are most relevant across the BA.


Responsibilities
Your role will be developing and running important strategic projects in the BA, such as the implementation of our decarbonization strategy, enabling fossil-free e-mobility infrastructure in Germany, or mergers and acquisitions.


Responsibilities include:
• Creating strategies and developing strategic recommendations for the BA Management team;
• Leading and managing the execution of strategic projects, in cooperation with BU experts, managers and Vattenfall Corporate functions, where required.
• Conducting research, develop hypotheses and execute analysis, translating data into insights;
• Analyzing market dynamics, financials, growth opportunities and threats;
• Translating strategy and business needs into deliverable recommendations or projects;
• Producing project documents and develop presentation materials for senior audiences;
• Leading virtual teams in a project context;
• Coordinating with stakeholders, facilitating workshops and delivering presentations.


Your Profile
• 2-8 years relevant working experience (seniority is flexible), ideally in a management consulting, cross-functional and/or team environment
• Knowledge of the energy industry; interest in sustainability and decarbonization is a plus
• Customer-focused-mindset and ability to analyze situations from the customer perspective
• Collaborative team player, who is also an independent thinker
• Deadline-driven, organized and able to multitask
• Robust analytical skill set and a hands-on approach, experience with financial modelling is a plus
• Strong verbal, written and presentation skills
• Able to interact effectively with people at different levels of the organization
• Fluent English and German (written and spoken)
• Willingness to travel periodically, as allowed per COVID restrictions/travel policy


Location
The location of this position is Germany, either Berlin or Hamburg or in Sweden in Stockholm. The BI&S teams are based across the three locations of the BA: Amsterdam, Berlin and Stockholm.
