Senior Supplier Evaluation Auditor

The Supplier Quality & Development (SQ&D) Audits & Governance department, belonging to Group Trucks Purchasing, is driving the global supplier base towards premium automotive quality standards. The department is responsible to continuously improve the supplier base by evaluating potential and existing suppliers with a risk-based approach.

THIS IS US, YOUR NEW COLLEAGUES
Today we are 8 auditors based in China, India, Sweden, Belgium, Brazil, USA and Mexico. We evaluate potential and existing suppliers by auditing mainly on-site at suppliers but also remotely using technical support tools such as Microsoft Teams. Main audits performed are Supplier Evaluation Model (SEM), Sustainability Audits (CSR), Safety Management Audits and potentially other audits from our Supplier Quality toolbox. This is a team with openness, high spirit, teamwork and willingness to share with each other. We are now looking to increase our team in Europe with two additional Senior Supplier Evaluation Auditors.

ROLE DESCRIPTION
The job as a Senior Supplier Evaluation Auditor is many times challenging and often rewarding. As a Supplier Evaluation Auditor you evaluate supplier’s capability, performance and potential in several aspects based on a risk management approach. Your evaluations will actively contribute to make sure we select the right suppliers but also to improve the current supplier base. Main area of responsibility is to support within your continent but may also include to support global requests upon needs. As an auditor you will coach the supplier and together with the Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) and the Buyer, making risk mitigation plans. Majority of the time the job consists of evaluating suppliers and identify weaknesses, gaps and potential risks through application of the different audits mentioned above.


Calibration of existing lead auditors within the SQ&D organization is also an important task for the Senior Supplier Evaluation Auditor. We prioritize sharing best practices in order to secure a fact based and robust output from the audits. The Supplier Evaluation Auditor will present audit reports and follow up recommendations in identified forums and to stakeholders. As continuous improvement activities the SQ&D Audits & Governance team will maintain and develop the different audit tools used. To succeed in this position we believe you have extensive knowledge that can support and help develop our suppliers and the team.

We believe you are a person who can look at the bigger picture as well as going down in details and also make risk assessments. You have a preventive mindset with leadership to solve problems and to make decisions and use structured approaches with good analytical skills and logical thinking.
You are a strong communicator and prefer a multicultural, dynamic and rewarding working climate where you get to collaborate internally but also towards supplier management teams. You have ability to create networks and to lead cross-functional activities within multicultural teams. We believe you are interested in actively supporting process harmonization and best practice sharing.
Required:
Preferred bachelor’s degree in engineering, or >5 years of technical experience needed (extensive experience and strong performance can substitute for academic degree).
Audit skills and good knowledge of auditing management systems (ISO 19011) as well as automotive quality standards and tools; IATF 16949, ISO 9001, APQP and PPAP.
Strong continuous improvement skills.
Experience from various production processes.
Good English communication skills, both orally and in writing.

The job needs frequent travels (up to 3-4 times per month during periods).
