ValueOne is looking for an experienced Senior Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) with experience from high voltage power industry for a consultant assignment at a manufacturing company in Västerås. The assignment must be filled as soon as possible and is planned to be turned into a permanent employment after six months. Remote work is possible.

The role
As Senior SQE you will be responsible for developing and implementing methods and procedures to ensure product and service accuracy. The role additionally involves reviewing and coordinating quality specifications, development and evaluation of quality programs and measuring quality activities. You will independently perform supplier quality tasks and provide recommendations based on sound engineering practices and business considerations.
Main tasks:
Improve quality for assigned suppliers, implement corrective and preventive plans.
Support new supplier onboarding by ensuring robust qualification process execution.
Own supplier results as measured by key metrics and identify area for improvements utilizing Supplier scorecards.
Manage supplier deviations and analyze root causes to drive improvement actions.
Planning, execution and follow up of supplier audits (Quality Assurance and Continuous Improvement).
Lead supplier quality reviews to drive continuous improvement.
Support the supplier claim management process.
Remote work is possible to a high extent but you must be prepared to travel to the company´s premises in Ludvika once a week. The role requires extensive travelling to suppliers in Sweden as well as abroad.
Experience and competencies
We are seeking a Quality Engineer preferably with a bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Production Engineering and a minimum of three years of experience in quality roles within a multinational company.
Experience in conducting quality audits is required, and certification as a quality auditor is advantageous. You should have good knowledge or experience in assessing manufacturing processes and be familiar with product qualification processes, such as PPAP.
Fluency in English is essential, including the ability to lead technical conference calls and read drawings and procedures in English. Knowledge in Swedish is meritorious but not mandatory.
Effective communication skills for working in cross-functional and global team environments are vital. Experience in the high voltage power industry is necessary.
