The logistics function Parts Supply & Logistics (PS&L) within Supply Chain Management (SCM) is responsible to secure that spare parts and accessories are available for customers world-wide, thus enabling a hassle-free consumer experience. The responsibility covers the procurement, storage and distribution of spare parts and accessories to Volvo Cars customers globally and includes operational control of all Volvo-owned parts inventory, warehouse management and transportation, as well as the long-term development of the global logistics process.

Operations- and supply chain performance are tightly intertwined, where the capabilities combined sets the end-to-end total efficiency.
In this role you will have the opportunity to interact with many stakeholders within PS&L and SCM as well as across Volvo Cars, including Service Business, Engineering & Operations, Digital and Finance. Our current team consist of 12 people with diverse areas of both local and global logistics engineering and project management responsibility. We are now looking for a Senior Supply Chain Business Architect to enable our ambitions in increasing the flow efficiency in our entire network, including the operational capabilities linked to it. The work location is in Gothenburg, Sweden.
What you’ll do
In short, being a Supply Chain Business Architect, it is your job to:
• Take a central role in guiding, shaping and developing our supply chain strategy
• Define and put the supply chain building blocks together to secure a seamless inbound-, operations- and outbound flow of service parts
• Lead global cross functional supply chain projects with stakeholders within and outside PS&L / SCM
• Represent PS&L in cross functional projects
• Represent Volvo Cars in projects with external stakeholders
You and your skills
Being a Supply Chain Architect, you need to possess a quite unique mix of competence width and depth within automotive and retail supply chains and its associated building blocks – and how they all fit together. From package structures, EDI / labelling and general transport management, to x-docking, bonded warehousing, trading house concepts and Warehouse Management Systems / ERP. Having this said, we see that you have at least 8-10 years prior experience within this field, whereof a couple of years on strategic level.
Although competence and experience are highly important, so is your personality of course! To succeed in the role, you need to have strong leadership and project management skills with a genuine interest in developing people and our business. You are positive, engaged and have a desire to motivate others and you take pride in always delivering on time and with high quality. Teamwork is a natural ingredient in your everyday work.
You have a technical university degree (master’s level) and are of course fluent in English, both written and spoken and have possibilities to travel. Experience from leading teams is meritorious and you are comfortable with people- and change management.
