Senior Supply Chain Specialist – Senior Buyer

Kubal is the largest metal industry within the region and the sole producer of primary aluminium in Sweden. The foundation of Kubal was laid in the year 1942 by Svenska Alumiumkompaniet, today the owner of the factory is Rusal. Rusal is one of the world largest producer of aluminium and have more than 60 000 employees worldwide. Kubal is a multicultural company with about 450 employees and production capacity of 135 000t.
We are looking for a motivated Senior Buyer to be responsible for selecting and purchasing quality products and services for KUBAL. The Buyer should have an analytical approach, and possess excellent negotiating skills to perform a commercial role covering strategic purchasing of products, services and additionally support of project buying activities, including contractual negotiation. Your regular responsibilities will also include processing purchase and tracking orders, quality assurance and liaising with operational teams and management.
The position reports directly to the Supply Chain director, is part of the supply chain organisation and interfaces with other departments in the company and Rusal.
Responsibilities:
Develop strategic sourcing plans, including “make/buy” decisions and adequate risk assessment
Supplier selection process, Supply Transition Management, Rationalisation and Contractual Negotiation.
Process requisitions and update management on status of orders.
Control inventory and ensure that stock levels are kept at appropriate levels.
Organise transport of goods and track orders to ensure timely delivery.
Coordinate with warehouse, maintenance and operational team as required.
Assess quality of stock received and escalate any discrepancies to suppliers and management.
Forecast the needs and make purchase decisions based on demand.
Managing procurement projects and improvement initiatives within multidisciplinary teams
Act as liaison with Rusal commercial department

Requirements:
University degree – in relevant field preferred
Previous relevant experience, 10+ years.
Broad experience with supplier contracts and agreements, additionally project management
Competency on MS applications (knowledge in SAP software is advantageous)
Critical thinking and proven contractual negotiation skills.
Excellent Communication skills – ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
Fluent in Swedish and English is required
Knowledge of sales and marketing principles is advantageous.
Occasional domestic and/or international travel.

Employment: 6 month’s probation period followed by a permanent employment. Location: Sundsvall.
